Bonza is Australia’s newest airline focussed on opening up regional travel routes that are not currently serviced by big airlines. Bonza plans to utilise the new Boeing 737 Max aircraft and have taken delivery of their first one already. Oceania Aviation have won the handling for Bonza across 13 airports in Australia.
Our team is excited to work hand in hand with the Bonza crew to deliver a seamless, affordable travel experience to thousands of Australians.
Further to this exciting announcement and in an Australian Industry first, Oceania Aviation will employ a combined sub-contract model to bring high level ground handling services to the airline.
Oceania Aviation will service 5 of the main ports itself and will subcontract to approved partner ground handling companies on the other 8 regional ports around Australia.
This will deliver a simplified and efficient ground handling model to Bonza Airlines by allowing Oceania Aviation and its partners to combine skills and systems to provide a consistent quality product to Australia’s newest airline.
Oceania Aviation will handle Bonza at Maroochydore, Melbourne, Townsville, Mackay and Newcastle ports. We will manage services through subcontractors across another 8 regional airports.
This exciting new opportunity will create 70 jobs for Oceania Aviation staff and over 20 jobs in the regional subcontract ports. This is a fantastic opportunity for Oceania Aviation to show Bonza how we differentiate our business with our port implementation model, out operational turn models and our IOT based real time operational data management system.
Oceania Aviation is extremely pleased, excited, and proud to be able to add Bonza Airlines to our list of Customers. Flying operations for Bonza commence in September 2022.
